I am a retired engineer after 45 years in the commercial nuclear power and wireless communications industries. I now get to spend more time with my wife JoAnne of nearly 48 years of marriage, our children and grandchildren. I enjoy playing golf, travelling, playing with our rescue Lilly, and driving my cars. Always have had a passion for cars, especially Corvettes. The people in our club and those in classic cars are great people and have interesting stories about their cars. Our social events and club activities are fun and enjoyed by all.

I am retired from the banking industry. I held several positions with various banks, retiring in 2004 as a vice president in Bank of America’s legal department. I have served in the military for 24 years in Naval aviation, the Delaware Air National Guard, and the Army Reserve, retiring as a major in 1998.
My wife, Betsy, (also retired) and I have been married for 46 years. We have three sons and twelve grandchildren. I volunteer at the Air Mobility Command Museum in Dover, and the Marshall Steam Museum in Yorklyn. We travel often, enjoying cruising and our time-shares in Las Vegas and Tuscany, Italy.
I have owned several interesting cars, other than Corvettes: a 1976 Fiat X1/9; a 1983 Rabbit GTI; a 1988 Mustang GT; a 1996 Mazda Miata; a 2006 PT Turbo convertible; and a 1998 Dodge Ram SST pickup, which I still own. I bought my first Corvette in September 2014 – a black 1992 coupe. Having succumbed to Corvette fever, I traded it toward my current “ride,” a silver 2004 convertible.

I recently retired from the IT industry after 37 years. My wife Diane and I live in Hockessin and have 4 children and 5 grandchildren. I enjoy skiing, gardening, and playing the guitar. I have been a huge Corvette fan since I was a kid. My second Corvette is a 1994 coupe which is great fun to drive and bring to club events. We really enjoy being part of the club and look forward to the social events.

My husband, Bob and I have two sons, 1 daughter in law and 2 granddaughters. I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, traveling, playing pickleball and playing games. We are enjoying retirement with the extra time to do the things we enjoy along with the stuff that needs to be done.
Bob is the reason we have a corvette and are members of CCND. He always wanted a Corvette and decided that he was going to get one when he turned 60. I was against this. I didn’t know why we needed to buy a sports car as I had no interest. I am so glad that he didn’t listen to me! Our lives changed for the better and we made many fabulous friends. We enjoy going to Corvette events and particularly the social events to see our friends and meet new ones.

Growing up in Albuquerque, I was naturally a fan of the Unser family and the Indy 500 which fueled my interest in racing and fast cars. My first exposure to Corvettes was in 1968 when a graduate student of my father’s asked me to show his C2 to prospective buyers while he was out of town. I was only 13 and was terrified when a person wanted to test out the clutch and did burnouts in our driveway. Fortunately, he did not steal the car! My second exposure was riding in a DuPont colleague’s C3 in 1985 where I felt like I was sitting on the pavement getting beat up on all the bumps. I finally caught the bug to buy a Vette when the 1997 C5 was unveiled but never felt like I could afford one until 2012 which was when I had only my second ride in a Vette while I was testing used C5’s and C6’s. Due to the discounts and rebates on new 2013 Corvettes, I finally bought my first and current Vette brand new off the showroom floor. Track days, autocross, drag racing and CCND social events are now among my favorite activities thanks to America’s Sports Car.
